On Wednesday 19 August, Bill Sweeney, Chief Executive Officer of the English RFU, visited Beaver Park to discuss the club’s needs and priorities, and how the RFU may be able to support them. He was highly complimentary about the recent upgrades to the ground. It was good to see him on the road calling in at our grassroots club while the children’s Summer Camp was also taking place. Mr Sweeny was joined on his visit by the Beverley RUFC Director of Rugby, Steve Girking; Yorkshire RFU Chairman, Ted Atkinson; Beverley RUFC Community Engagement Coach, Maddy Dale; Yorkshire RFU Chairman, Ian Connell; Beverley RFU Chairman, Brian Gilbert; Beverley RFU player and volunteer, Oliver Nixon.
