BEVERLEY Under-15's produced an exceptional performance to beat Grimsby 72-17 in their last home game of the season on Sunday.
The forwards - led by Ben Wilkinson - were dominant throughout the game, securing good ball which allowed the backs to score freely from any position on the pitch.
The team has really come together over the past year, gaining experience from a number of tough games against the better teams in the area and this victory showed how destructive the team can be.
Man of the match Harvey Baron notched up seven tries, Tom Barnard (2) with new signing Kian Jacquin along with Wilkinson and Ben Ashley grabbing a try each.
The platform was as ever, made by the forwards Jasper Ghio, Josh Dillon and Ben Walker who all tackled well, supported in the breakdown by Alex Crockett, Olly Waites and Barney Malster with Toby Ashworth a constant menace.
The backs were ever-dangerous. Harry Gunn again linked up well with Baron, Sam Acaster was always resolute in defence and Adam Skeates was strong at scrum half and full back. Jasper Law took his opportunity again when he came on at scrum half and produced another sound performance.
The team travel to the Harrogate Festival this weekend for their last games of the season full of confidence.
