Under 15 Bridlington Home - Won 77-0

Match Report

Beverley Under-15’s enjoyed a comprehensive 77-0 win over Bridlington on Sunday in a game that was much more competitive than the score line suggests but where the clinical finishing of the home players proved decisive.

The first of the tries came after only five minutes when Nathan Cullen started and completed an excellent backs attack to score in the corner. Tom Barnard converted.

Further tries soon followed with Harvey Barron scoring two before prop Jasper Ghio outpaced the Bridlington back line to score the fourth of the game.

Barnard then went over for his first try of the game before Josh Dillon powered over just before half time to leave the score at 38-0.

Bridlington tried to take something from the match in the second half but Beverley were confident in attack and even stronger in defence.

Barron completed his hat-trick, Harry Gunn finished another scintillating backs move and Barnard scored a second half hat-trick taking his tally to four tries in the match with further tries from Ben Walker and Dillon.

This was another good all-round performance by the Beverley team. Cameron Lawley, Alex Crockett, Barney Malster and Toby Ashworth showed the improvement they have made over the past year and Adam Skeates dictated play from the scrum half position providing a good platform for the team to work from.

Man of the match went to Tom Barnard whose four tries were all very well taken from deep.
