Beverley RUFC Under-13's travelled to Roundhegians on Sunday for games against the hosts and Cleckheaton - winning both games.
Beverley started strongly against Roundhegians and quickly raced into a 15-point lead before the home side managed to pressure only to be beaten back by some superb defence especially at full back. The home side did persevere and ran in for a consolation try to make the final score 30-5 to the Beavers.
In the second game Beverley loaned Cleckheaton a player to make a full 13 but it was their last piece of generosity in a 35-0 victory. Already warmed up, quick ball recycling allowed their backs to dominate and breaks from full back and the centres saw three quick tries. The Beverley forwards were also proving too strong as the tries kept coming, including a first try for new winder Ryan Powers. Other tries came from Jack Charles, Ollie Egan, Ryan Westerman, Alex Argent-Moss, and Joe Coates.
